Terms of Service

Last updated: March 14, 2026

1. What Anecdotal Is

Anecdotal is a community-driven platform that aggregates self-reported experiences with peptides, supplements, and related compounds. We surface three things: what people reported, the regulatory status of compounds, and available research context. We are not a healthcare provider, a medical advice platform, a recommendation engine, or a marketplace.

2. No Medical Advice

Nothing on Anecdotal constitutes medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment recommendations. All content — including user-submitted logs, practitioner comments, compound information, and outcome scores — is provided for informational purposes only. Self-reported experiences are not clinical evidence. Regulatory status information is factual and does not imply that a compound is safe or unsafe.

Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before starting, stopping, or modifying any supplement, peptide, or health protocol. Do not rely on information found on Anecdotal to make health decisions.

3. No Patient-Provider Relationship

Verified practitioners on Anecdotal share independent professional opinions under their own name and credentials. Their comments do not create a patient-provider relationship with any reader. Practitioner contributions are clearly labeled and carry an independence disclaimer. Anecdotal does not employ, direct, or compensate practitioners for their contributions.

4. User Accounts and Content

You must create an account to submit logs or comments. You are responsible for the accuracy and truthfulness of the content you submit. By submitting content, you grant Anecdotal a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and use your content on the platform.

All submitted content is subject to review before publication. We reserve the right to reject or remove content that violates these terms, contains prohibited language, or is otherwise inappropriate.

5. Prohibited Content

You may not submit content that:

  • Makes medical recommendations or prescriptive claims
  • Uses prohibited language (e.g., "recommended," "cure," "treatment," "proven," "should")
  • Promotes the purchase or sale of any substance
  • Contains false or deliberately misleading information
  • Includes personally identifiable health information about third parties
  • Harasses, threatens, or defames other users
  • Violates any applicable law or regulation

6. Content Moderation

All user-submitted logs and comments are reviewed before they become publicly visible. We moderate content for quality and compliance with these terms. We do not alter the substance of user reports — we approve or reject submissions. We are not responsible for the accuracy of user-submitted content.

7. Subscriptions and Payments

Anecdotal offers a free tier and a paid Premium tier. Premium subscriptions are billed monthly through Stripe. You may cancel at any time. Refunds are handled in accordance with our billing provider's policies.

8. No Purchase Facilitation

Anecdotal does not sell, distribute, or facilitate the purchase of any substance. We do not include affiliate links, product listings, or purchasing recommendations. We have no financial relationship with any supplement, peptide, or pharmaceutical company.

9. Regulatory Information

Compound pages display regulatory status for the United States and United Kingdom. This is factual information sourced from public regulatory records. Regulatory status does not indicate that a compound is safe, unsafe, effective, or ineffective. Laws and regulations vary by country and region — the regulatory status shown may not apply to your jurisdiction. You are responsible for understanding the laws that apply to you.

10. Limitation of Liability

Anecdotal is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Anecdotal and its operators shall not be liable for any damages arising from your use of the platform, including but not limited to health outcomes, reliance on self-reported data, or decisions made based on information found on the platform.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Anecdotal, its operators, and contributors from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the platform, your submitted content, or your violation of these terms.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of Anecdotal after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
